Is the treatment painful?
Pain tolerance differs from person to person. The M8 is not a pain free treatment, therefore, a topical numbing cream is put on the treatment areas 1 hour prior to treatment, ensuring you are comfortable. Morpehus8 pain, measured on a scale of 1-10maybe a 6 in one person, however 2 for another. The energy can be increased and decreased, this has a direct effect on the pain, meaning if you find it absolutely intolerable, the energy can be turned down for a more comfortable treatment.
What is the downtime after treatment?
Full recovery is usually between 4-14 days, sometimes a little longer in others. You can expect slight swelling, ‘chicken skin’, bruising and blood spotting – however this is usually only mild. Despite that, it is important to expect swelling and bruising.
Can I wear make-up after?
No! Your usual skin care regime will need to stop for 14 days and we recommend using only Clinisept to cleanse and GF5 serum byCell Derma for healing purposes for 14 days. Please ask your Nurse if you have anymore questions.
